Pricing
Pricing varies depending on the pig’s age, sex, bloodline, conformation, and whether it’s being sold as breeding stock or as a pet/companion. We’re happy to discuss current pricing when you reach out.
- Registered breeding stock is priced individually based on quality, lineage, and demand
- Pet/companion piglets (sold as barrows or spayed gilts) are typically available at a lower price point
- We do not sell unregistered piglets as breeding stock
Deposits
- A deposit is required to reserve a piglet from a current or upcoming litter
- Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred to a future litter if your reserved piglet becomes unavailable for any reason on our end
- Remaining balance is due before or at pickup
Pickup Age
Piglets go home at 8–10 weeks of age, depending on the individual piglet’s size and readiness. We will not release a piglet early — this time with mom and littermates is critical for proper social development and health.
What’s Included
Every registered piglet from Prairie Rise Farm comes with:
- AKKPS registration papers with documented pedigree
- Health check by our veterinarian
- Age-appropriate deworming and vaccinations
- A care guide covering feeding, shelter, fencing, and health basics
- Ongoing support — we’re always available to answer questions after you bring your piglet home
Companion Policy
KuneKunes are herd animals and do not do well alone. We require that every piglet goes to a home where it will have at least one other pig companion. If you don’t already have pigs, we recommend purchasing a pair.
Shipping & Transport
We strongly prefer on-farm pickup so you can meet your piglet and see our operation. If distance makes pickup difficult, we can discuss transport options or recommend livestock transport services. Transport costs are the buyer’s responsibility.
Health Guarantee
We stand behind the health of every pig we sell. All piglets leave our farm in good health, vet-checked, and with documentation. If a health issue arises within the first 72 hours that is clearly attributable to a pre-existing condition, contact us immediately and we will work with you on a resolution.
